The 12 Steps and the Reformation

The twelve steps of recovery are based upon biblical principles and they work when applied in submission to the one true Higher Power.

However, many of the truths of recovery seem contrary to the teachings of the majority of churches today – so much so that some churches even reject the idea of addiction recovery. My own personal journey through recovery led me not only to a revival of my faith, but to a realization of the importance of the tenets of Christianity as understood at the time of the Reformation. This is a book for those who struggle with anything in a habitual or compulsive way, for those who struggle with understanding how sin can continue to be a life-altering factor in the life of one who follows Christ, and for their friends and families who might be wondering if they’ve gone and joined a cult.
